Founded in 1880 by Jinbei Horiba, who moved to Miyazaki from Aichi, Kinjodo is best known for Tsukiire mochi, a soft gyuhi rice-cake confection. The shop stands on Tachibana-dori in central Miyazaki City, also offering walnut mochi, dorayaki, and castella.
