Founded in 1918 near the gate of Sengaku-ji temple, Matsushimaya is a Japanese confectionery famed for its bean daifuku, counted among Tokyo's three great daifuku. The shop still hand-makes every batch with Hokkaido-grown beans and often closes early once the day's supply sells out.
