Misakiya has crafted Kyoto-style confections since 1934, carrying on techniques passed down from the historic Kyoto shop Kawabata Doki. Now run by the third generation just behind the University of Tokyo's Komaba campus, it is known for its chestnut steamed yokan and has been featured in the food magazine Dancyu.
