Tracing its roots to the Genroku era (1688-1703), this confectionery has survived both the Great Kanto Earthquake and wartime destruction. Operating from its current location in front of Keio University's Mita campus since 1927, it is known for Shushiki Monaka, said to be Japan's first three-flavor monaka.
