Founded in 1716 as a teahouse by Sanjo Bridge, Minokichi grew from a river-fish restaurant into one of Kyoto's renowned kaiseki houses. At its main restaurant Takeshigero, seasonal kaiseki is served in rooms rebuilt from a Hida gassho-style farmhouse.
